The St. Timothy Book Group meets on the fourth Monday of each month from 7:00 pm-8:30 pm in the Ruocco Center. When holidays fall on that Monday, or when there is a fifth Monday in a month, our meeting is usually shifted by a week.
Since the Covid pandemic, we have shifted our meetings to virtual meetings on Zoom. Any parishioner who wishes to particiapte is welcome to do so! Simply e-mail Colleen Campion ([email protected]) and ask her to add you to the list of people who will receive the invite to the Zoom meeting.
Each month, the group selects a different book to read. We then gather to discuss the book in light of our Catholic faith. Selections are made from suggestions offered by group members and titles have varied widely, including contemporary fiction, historical works, spiritual works and biographies. Titles selected by the book group are available in the parish office for a discounted price for those who wish to purchase copies.
The group operates on a "drop-in" basis, whereby members come when they are able. This is also true for our virtual meetings on Zoom. If you receive the invite, but then find that you are unable to attend, that is no problem! Any parishioner who has read the selection for that month is welcome to attend the discussion.
