The St. Timothy Book Group meets on the fourth Monday of each month from 7:30 pm-9:00 pm in the Church Hall. When holidays fall on that Monday, or when there is a fifth Monday in a month, our meeting is usually shifted by a week.
Each month, the group selects a different book to read. We then gather to discuss the book in light of our Catholic faith. Selections are made from suggestions offered by group members and titles have varied widely, including contemporary fiction, historical works, spiritual works and biographies. Titles selected by the book group are available in the parish office for a discounted price for those who wish to purchase copies.
The group operates on a "drop-in" basis, whereby members come when they are able. Any parishioner who has read the selection for that month is welcome to attend the discussion.
Upcoming meetings:
Our next meeting will be held on Monday, October 27 when we will discuss The Forgotten Garden, by Kate Norton.
Our November meeting will be held on Monday, November 26 when we will discuss Moloka'i, by Alan Brennert.
Our January meeting will be held on Monday, January 28 when we will discuss Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok.
