The miracle of Christmas is alive in our hearts, even in 2020! We hope you will jump in with creativity and joy to bring to life our first (and hopefully ONLY!) virtual Epiphany Celebration!
What we need from you: Create something that reflects the stories of the season:
it could be a photograph of nature, video of a dance move (slow motion or boomerang anyone?), a photograph of your child playing with their doll or stuffed animal. Paint something, write a poem, crochet or knit a scarf that looks like the starry sky or the River Jordan, sew a quilt square, have a parade around the house, embroider a rose, decorate a batch of sugar cookies, burn a scene in wood or leather, play or sing a verse of your favorite carol, draw a donkey or a dove, bake bread in the shape of a star, make a salad with cauliflower sheep on a hill of greens, make a King’s cake, dress your cat like a shepherd, sculpt a model of the holy family, record yourself reading your favorite passage from the script to your kids by the Christmas tree in pajamas or in a zoom with your Grandkids or Grandparents, bust out the gel pens, glitter, or calligraphy, show us your favorite Christmas decorations, force a bulb to bloom, doodle a flock of sheep, make crowns for everyone in your household for dinner, build a manger, give the “Acapella” app a try, make a snow angel, etc! The sky is the limit! Lots of smiling faces! Faith! Hope! Love! Gather passion, joy, humor, and the skills and talents in your household to come up with something wonderful.
Sign up by emailing Bonnie Gleason our Music Director at [email protected]. Please send your digital submissions to her too. (Keep the videos short and shoot horizontally (wide view) for YouTube.) When you sign up, Bonnie will send you a copy of the script, but it will also be available on our website. We will need your submissions no later than Sunday December 27th. We’re gonna turn them into some sort of crazy mash-up video that we will share from our YouTube channel on the Feast of Epiphany on January 3rd. You can make a spaghetti dinner and pretend you are at St. Tim’s and gather around to watch the video!
Just a note that participating means it’s ok for us to share the finished product on our YouTube channel, website, social media, etc. It will be helpful to have an idea of how many people are interested, so please do sign up in advance. Hope you will answer the call and come up with some good old-fashioned new-fangled Joyful and Triumphant Christmas fun! Email Bonnie with any questions [email protected] .
